Wiper Motor

This mornin, I was cleanin the snow off my car, I dont know what happened, but after awhile, the wipers stopped movin... I have no idea whats wrong, but I'm guessin the motor blew out. If show, where would be a good place to get the part, and how much would I be lookin to spend?? Thanx..

If you can still hear the motor turning but the wipers aren't moving
then the arm linkage needs to be looked at.. This is a common problem with
4th gen max. The wiper motor is pretty reliable so I would be suprised if that is the problem.

I have a parts car. If you find out what the exact problem is then let me know. I will have the part to fix it.

You can buy the arm links from the dealer for $10-$20.
There are two but if they are cheap enough might as well
replace both. Installing them is not total PITA but a little
ackward. Just make the sure the plastic pivots are seated _fully_
or you will be back to square one in no time.

You may need to replace ... or just snap the linkage arm back on the motor. Not a difficult job for DIY. Next time, make sure your wipers are off before turning the car on!

Now, you know that using the wipers when there is snow on the glass is dumb! Wipers are not designed for use as snowploughs.
