Please help with 95 Max.

hello All

I have a 95 Max and here is what happened.

I left the light on and it drained the battery conmpletely, so I re-charged the battery all night started around 7PM until this morning. Well, the car started but now nothing regards to electrical would work. the interior light, the heat will not run, rear windows defrost, tail light, remote door opener, power windows, power door lock. none of that works. All I have is the front light and the radio works.
Can someone point me to something to check such as fuse box (location, fuse number etc...)
I didnt check the fuse box since I have to go to work but planning to look at it after work.
Thanks much!

not sure why you recharched it for that long. Usually it only takes maybe 5 to 10 minutes tops to recharge the battery and then you should be able to start it. After that the while the car is on the alternator should recharge it fine. I would check that fuse box and check if any of them are burned out. Do you have a CIL on? Just thinking of any possible scenario. Best of luck.

try checking the voltage on your battery. should be between 12-14 volts. maybe its not putting out enough juice for everything to work.

overnight charging is about right for complete drain down. did you remove the battery to recharge it? if you did, besure the cable ends and battery posts are clean and tight. corrsion can cause some connection problems.

I did not remove it from the car or the cables when I recharge the battery...no corrision. clean as a whistle on those plugs.

hahahah..yeah sorry about that CEL...just woke up on my day off sorry!!! What battery are you using? I went to discount auto parts and got one of those 39.99 batterys and thought it was ok...WRONG...not too long (for a battery life that is) my Cold Cranking Amps were like 225..should have been about 600 and finally got an interstate batter which is the same company who makes the OEM batterys for Nissans. The ohter response posted about corrosion on the terminals was great..make sure it is all gone...best of luck

you can go to any auto parts store and get a voltage meter while your there you can also get an alternator voltage check....i know it might be tough with nothing working electrical in your car but if its close by you might want to try it.

if you didn't take the cables off, you saw only the outside of the cable. just to be sure you need to remove them. clean them w/a terminal cleaner brush. just to be sure!!

ok, I openned the fuse box and look at several of them and they were fine, I then openned the fuse box that located next to the battery and there is one big light-green labeled I40 at the center of the fuse box, that fuse is burnt.
I tried to take it off but it will not come off. Can someone tell me how to get if off? thx for all the comments.
