How to run fan at 4 through vents w/o recirculating

Found out by accident. What you do is push the dash vent button, then push any other button slowly until it makes the dash vent button pop up. So now you will have no buttons depressed. Put fan on 4 and it will take it from outside. Normally when you put it on 4 it automatically goes to recirc mode.

Have you guys heard about this?

I like air from outside, even when i put the fan on 4. Just a personal preference. I hated it when you put the fan on 4 and the ac automatically goes to recirc. I just like fresh air is all.

i personally can't tell the difference most the time unless the air outside smells or something, but i guess its just one of those personal preferences that we all have.

This is retarded... if you press the buttin it recircs, if the button is not pressed in it doesnt recirc, how hard is that to understand? On 4 mine can be either way, so it seems like yours is messed up if it only recircs.

Straight from page HA-19 of eFSM:

Intake door is set at recirculation position automatically when the following conditions are met:
- Vent Position
* Fan speed: speed 4 position
* temperature control: Full cold position
* comperssor: ON

- Vent, B/L, foot position
* engine coolant temperature: Over 105*C (221*F)
* Compressor: On

Here's the test.
1. Push front vent button and then push any other button, so there are no buttons depressed.
2. Put fan to 4
3. Push the front vent button and you will here it go to recirc.

I tried this on 3 diff max's and they all do the same.

Anyways this is for people who want air from outside while blasting it in yo face.
