which are the more reliable coil packs? I've heard both are good, and Ive heard both suck. Which ones would you suggest. thanks

don't even think about hanshin's!!!...they've been used to replace the mitsubishi one's (mostly on '99) and they doesn't work that good...they always fail quicker than the mitsubishi ones..

I have seen alot of maximas and I30 with over 100,000 some even way more and still have the orginal hanshin coil packs and work fine. I would just get whatever is cheapest, they have some really nice splitfire ones that are a ***** to find. They are supposed to be the best ones avaiable, but they are really hard to track down.

i am trying to get the mitsubishi ones. I need to replace 2 coils, so I am going to just get all 6. At the same time I am trying to work out a goup deal on coilpacks for 3rd,4th, and 5th gen maximas if anyone is interested. Thanks for the help everyone.

Nobody knows where to get the splitfire ones?...most people have never saw or heard of them

I dont know if you 4th gen guys have come across this yet, but you probably do not have to replace all six coils at once.

I have put together a test that should tell you which coils are the bad ones.

Take a look, I only had to replace 2 and have not looked back since.

i got a code saying to replace 1 coil, I changed it and on the way home i got another code to replace 2 more. I am just going to get 5 more (i only have about 100 miles on the new coil pack)

I was told dealers dont carry Mitsubishi coilpacks, you can get them only if they are left over? Anyone know if thats true?
