Those with expierience with 9004 hid shield, Question.

I have a 9004 bixenon kit with 97-99 style headlights. I'm in the process of making anti-glare shields fo it. My question is if the shield should go around the bottom half of the bulb or the top half? I assume it to be the bottom, but some H4 shields I've seen seem to go around the top. What is best for this housing? (and no I'm not installing projectors, so don't even bring it up!)

Thanks.

i believe its the bottom half. That way the light doesn't reflect up off the bottom of the headlamp. I need to do this as well. So if you find an easy way to do it, do a write-up!

..... in reflector housing its always bottom half... so make the shield like a 170degree arc.. .. think in terms of 180 degreee.. now the side with the 10 defree less should be on the right side of the arc... when looking at it in the housing from front of tehe car.. thus it will allow little more light into the passenger side shoulder for signs.. people.. cats... sidewalks.. etc..

and the h4s ... to be honest youll ge tthe best cutoff.. or least glare in the 9000 housings... cause the h4s the way the filament on teh bulb is located.. its hard to make a shield.. that will eliminate glaring... the bes tyou can do is make the shiled go on some parts of the top.. so it can eliminate some glares by reducing light to hot spots on teh housing... 9004 is the one of the best housings to do it on....
