Acura Legend Headrests in my Max

This past weekend I nabbed these nice Headrests from an Acura Legend. THey are black leather, tilting and double stitched. I though they might just drop right in my max seats, wrong! they didnt fit at all the posts werent wide enough and the diameter of the posts are too small. We got 21" of snow so I stayed in and got creative. I took apart my max headrests and the Acura headrests did some cutting, grinding and welding. And made them work. **If I wouldnt have been stuck in because of the snow I wouldnt have even done this.**
Here are a few pics, they are not that good due to the sunlight shining in.

THe Acura Headrest installed:

Drivers (Acura) Passenger (stock)

The stock one for comparison:

All that work and you could have got I30 ones that match perfect and install in seconds. Does the leather seats match the headrests grain pattern and color? Sounds like alot of work for something that might not match perfectly, hard to tell from pics.

The leather is a bit better quality but the match is pretty good. Only the discerning eye of a faithful Max owner might be able to tell a difference.

I had these and the time to make them work ( snowed in , like I metioned above) otherwise I would have got some I30 headrests

The type of leather doesn't really match. Seems like too much work for just a headrest. Props though.

Good job, better than spending loads of cash on I30 headrests...but I guess you sacrificed perfectly good black leather maxima headrests....?
