Custom Maxima (Enterprise) FSTB Question

Custom Maxima (Enterprise) FSTB Question
I just got in my FSTB from Custom Enterprise. I'm putting it in now and it is not clearing any of the "stuff" directly underneath it.
The pictures on their site show bars that have an arch to them, mine is completely straight. Does this make any sense? Has anyone else had this problem. I'm apprehensive to start bolting everything together tightly because it is definately coming in contact with engine components underneath it.
Please advise. Thanks.

As far as I know most bars except the Stillen one have this problem. I had an Ebay bar that did the same thing as yours and all i did was add some washers between the mounting plate of the bar and the body of the car to raise it some. If you have the same problem I did the bar is hitting the EVAP cannister - its a little circular looking thing on a metal bracket; you can just bend that bracket down towards the manifold some as well to help clearance. I recently got the Stillen bar and they were smart enough to raise the bar up some in the design. good luck

Thanks for the input bro. When you had the ebay bar in did you run into any problems with contact or anything (after you boosted it up with washers and bent the evap cannister bracket down)?

damn bro i am in the same EXACT scenario. The bar comes in contact with the top of the throttle cable and a metal holder for one of the vacuum lines. I put it on and took it for a drive...nothing went wrong so i guess it was ok.
if you take a look at the pics on their website, one or two of the bars are straight, and the others are kind of arched.

yeah i def didnt get the RSB because I have the brackets that have three holes. The RSB brackets come with two holes.
It looks like the CE website has an old picture and it was probably cheaper to produce these newer... yet crapper designed straight bars.
The bar is in and was able to bend the bracket down for the evap cannister. Now nothing is touching. I just thought I would've had more clearance. I don't forsee any problems. I had some loose steering before this install now it is noticably better.
Thanks for all the input and responses.
Now to install the rear sway bar... oh yeah when I was getting it ready to put in I was putting the bushings on and all 4 of the bushing split. I lubed them up and everything. Most of them all had little stress fractures on them even before I attempted to slide them on the bar. Little FYI. (this is a progress bar) I have an email into CE to see if they will send me new bushings... we'll see.

UPDATE:
I have been in contact with José of CE and he has been very helpful. I was accidentally sent the wrong brackets for the straight bar. The new brackets that he will be sending me at no cost come up higher and there will be no contact with anything.
I just wanted to take back my CE bashing since they have helped me out and it sounds like the bar will be good with the proper brackets. I don't care what anyone else says about CE, but they do give excellent customer service. This is something that all of us around here can and probally have come to appreciate when ordering stuff........ Oh yeah never order anything from andysautosport.com....they suck hard.
