Weapon R Dragon Intake

hey guys. I am probably going to buy a Weapon-R Dragon Series short ram intake for my 98 GXE. I was wondering if anybody has one of these and knows if it makes gas milage go up or down, how hard it is to install, how much noise does it add, and if it includes a MAF adapter. Thanks.

hmm I have a popcharger and that is about it. For installation it shouldn't be hard at all. If you have commen sence and tools you are able to complete the project. Gas milage wise I wound't say much, good or bad. depends on my driving and the traffic for me.

anything that is called "Weapon R Dragon" I would stay away from, lol. Rims look nice, but the altezzas gotta go man. Out of everyone on campus, my max is 1 of 2 that don't have them. When are people going to learn?

For add. info on intakes go to the stickies and http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaIntakesSome one told me before that the Weapon R intake is hella loud but it does not give much power. It is easy to install, you just need to remove the stock midpipe and the airbox, the intake should come with a MAF adapter. Like everyone says, you will lose low end power. You will probably end up using more gas b/c you might push on the gas a little harder to hear the sound.

I believe the bomz goes into the fender? if so its better because it won't suffer from heat soak as much, or at all, and the longer tube should reduce resonance/increase a smooth flow and help with low end. Over a HAI of course.

I don't think it's suffecient enough to change your mileage enough to the point to where you'll 'feel' an improvement.

I think the name says it all. Weapon R Dragon? I think there are better ways to spend the money, be it on an intake or not.

from an intake, the only difference you can expect over stock is a different noise. performance gains are very small to nil (and i think more of a placebo effect than anything). so if you want gains, spend the money on a y-pipe. otherwise, buy a CAI. i know the Injen sounds very good and i think i have heard that the BOMZ is also good.

i'm sorry, but just stay away from anything called Weapon R Dragon VEEtek! mad JDM!

Buy this then just buy a K&N filter or Apexi

There are two types of midpipes sold on Ebay, one has longer nipples (3) and another has 4 short nipples. Haha nipples....

well thanks to everybody for their advice. i just read a bunch of good reviews on the Weapon R, and my friend in phoenix just bought one for his max, so i decided to get one. if it is bad i can always go back to stock i guess, but ill try it out. eventually i want to go to true CAI cuz i think those r the best. thanks everyone.

why not just go CAI right now? if you know that's what you want, might as well shop for one of those. but like you said, you can always go back to stock. good luck.

Get a cold air...if you want an intake cheap on fleabay...I have never been able to tell name brand from generics. I didn't like the way the injen sounded
on my friends max, he ended up selling it and getting a $15 dollar cold air online sounded much better.
