Funny noise?? any suggestions

OK, I'm gonna post this b/c this noise has been bothering me for years now. When i bought my car there was a clunking type noise from the front passenger tire area. The owner said the axels needed replacing so I had both of them replaced. Same noise has been there ever since. I only hear it when I run over rough pavement or sometimes the tranny shifts hard and the "clunk" sound is heard. Seems to come from the right wheel well on the front. I have taken off the wheel and looked at everything. Nothing is loose. My axels and cv joints are all new, mechanic could'nt find the source either.

Could it be the strut? I can't figure it out!

Could be the strut or the strut bearing.

I have the same exact problem. I have had 2 new struts put on. I am going to do the axles today. If I found that it was that I will let you know. If you find the problem please post. I have been dealing with this for about 2 years. Mine seems to do it if I am turning the wheel ever so slightly to the left while giving it gas. It's just one clunk.

Could be the rack and pinion bushings too.
