best fog light bulb?

After 5 years with my max, one of my fogs is finally dead. What are you guys using for replacement bulbs? I'm looking for something cost friendly, but maybe better than a Walmart bulb. Basically, please don't suggest HIDs. Thanks

narva rally gold 55w are highly recommended. i dont know where you can get them. suvlights.com carries a higher wattage, use at your own risk.

erty, do luminics yellow or i wanna say ion crystal bulbs (? or something like that)

they're yellow, and yellow lights penetrate rain better than any other color

if you want white, i think polargs are good

Too bright? The number has nothing to do with brightness. It's the color that it affects.

I would suggest just oem type bulbs, they should last the longest.

This isn't the case for lumicis bulbs because they are tinted yellow. Any tinted bulb is handicapped and will put out less light.

i think you're mistaken. blue tinted bulbs put out "less light," yellow tinted do not.

PIAA, the ion crystals all the way. not actually too much money $29 per bulb from CE (CustomEnterprise.com). But thats the route I'm taking.

12k hids in the fogs? that is COMPLETELY pointless. no light output. all show, no function. need like ~2-3k hids for functional hids. don't you guys have fog in cali? i KNOW you have rain...

I have Nokyas on the way i'll let you know when they come in, as for PIAAs some people feel, and i'd agree, that any halogen bulb is right on par with any other halogen bulb. Granted there are longevity differences but to pay $60 for bulbs is a little much, just my .02. Basically they have an excellent marketing program and sell things at a higher price to uphold the prestigous name and imply a higher quality (wheather they have it or not).

I don't know if you bought the stage 2 hyper whites or the yellow ones but I tried both. I first had the yellow ones and I liked the color but one of the bulb went out on me in a month. Then I ordered some white ones and it wasn't really white enough and recently.... about a month after I bought them... one of the bulb went out.

Maybe it's just something wrong with my housing or wiring or something but these things keep going out.

Hey guys after reading this I ordered the JDM yellow H3s for my I30t...is it hard to change the fog light bulb or it's easy like the headlights?

you can reach them from underneith the car or you can just unscrew the 2 bolts and you can take the whole housing out for easier access.
