I'm sure my negotiating skills are far more advanced than yours. What was the asking price? I have a very strong sales background and you haven't posted anything suggestiong that you have any sales credentials. exactly, you claim to have negotiating skills but DID NOT display how much you actually negotiated. As for the price, it seems too good to be true, but CONGRAT'S and LOOK OUT because somebody really wanted to get rid of it.

EDIT: from an experienced automobile salesman, that color is very undesirable for a mid-size sedan.

I got this in 2000, so it was a hella of a good price.

3 yr old car w/ 30k miles=10k/year

I also bought this from an old guy (private sale.)

LOL if you had negotiating skills, you would be a successful salesman and you probably wouldn't live in an apartment which is probably your mothers.

i live in a townhouse with my single mother...because my father skipped out as soon as my mom got pregnant and hasnt paid child support in the 17 years ive been alive. shes a public school teacher...give us a god damn break.

i sell about 25,000 of wireless equiptment (bluetooth, accessories, blackberry's, treo's, and everything else) a month for a company called atlantic technology group. i think my sales skills are decent for a 17 year old.

damn people, dont take things personal. just because you got jipped doesnt mean you gotta be angry at me because i got a better deal.

undeseriable color? its an undeseriable 10 year old car but it beats its toyota and honda counter part which is why i got the max instead. maybe you didnt get the memo but once i turn 18 and get my trust fund M3 all the way... i wont need for college since i got a full scholarship to rensselaer polytechnic institute. i hope your life is as good as mine

Right? I'm in the process of finishing up a deal on a 97 GXE 5 speed w/ 105K miles for only 2800. Should pick it up this weekend. Nothing fancy....just a pretty clean used car.

$25K month in sales? Wow....I wish my quota is that low...(only 4.8M this quarter for me) hahaha.

$25,000 in gross sales @ 10%(which is rediculously high) equals $2500 a month. Now we both know u don't make $2500 a month and you probably don't even get paid on commission and if you do it basically comes out to a low hourly wage. To be successful in sales you have to do $100,000 a month MINIMUM and UP to make a decent living. There is only 2 thing you can sell doing $25,000 in sales A MONTH and make good money, and unfortunatelly it's DRUGS and stolen goods. I average $50,000 - $60,000 in sales selling windows for homes. In the car business i average $150,000 - $250,000 a month in gross sales. They both pay me close to the same because of the rediculous HOLDBACK at dealerships for advertising and all overhead in general. You are not a salesman until you can sell and be successful in a high stress, micro managing, cut throat business. Your as wet as a $2 ho behind the ears and you questioning the skills of a PROVEN salesman. You are a cashier buddy and you have no idea what it is like grinding customers for 2 hours in your office, trying to motivate them to buy a $25,000 car. I make shoppers BUYERS and that's why i can sell 15-20 cars a month and walk into someones home with window materials and walk out with a check for $5,000.

Now are you going to state any fact's, or just whine with snot running down your nose while making rediculous claims?

I think you need to calm down and just move on. I don't see why you have any reason to prove yourself to anyone here.

That seems like a good price but if you had DESCENT with you, he could have gave you some negotiating skills. LOL!

Guys again, I've sold cars at 5 dealerships and that little old lady line is a CLASSIC. Read this whole thread, do you guys notice a pattern? Are you guys a bunch of teenagers or what?
LOL! LOL!
Do you really think people can't check vechicle history....you did work in a dealership right? Common sense when buying a car is to check previous owner(s) and maintence history. You can lie about history, owner, etc but it is so EASY to find the truth. It also helps that I know the lady that bought it brand new, my boss went with her.
