A car the size of a Max w/o power steering is unparkable except in Malwart's car park at 4 a.m. Why would you want to remove it, after all the work the nice Nissan people did in making a variable-rate system?

You can't mill the P/S section off because then your alt-a/c pulley would be out of line because its on the outside. If it was the other way around then it would work.

However, the udp only weighs slightly over a lb so it would be an exercise in futility.

Here is a pic of mine with no P/S or A/C and 33" 4 rib alt belt.

I never hooked mine back up after installing my UDP. I do like being able to feel the steering inputs better, but yes... parking suuuux, especially in parking decks. I'll be reconnecting it when I tear my suspension apart soon. But it was kinda different for a few months.

Do I recommend it? --no.
