Missing the Max

It has only been 3 weeks since trading in the Max for my pickup, and I really miss a lot about that Maxima. I liked that car so much, I put over $6000 into the Max including stereo, and a lot of cosmetic looks. I have never done cosmetic enhancements to any vehicle that I have ever owned before, but for some reason I was drawn to do it to the Maxima. Modded out the suspension, and redid the whole exhaust except for the manifolds. I got more compliments on the Maxima than any other vehicle that I have ever owned also. I was so surprized that this four door could handle so well, be so fast, and look so good. I know that it did not handle as well as maybe the 95 GT Mustang that I owned, but it was just as fast as that Mustang from when I ran both cars at the drag strip, that really surprized me! I mean how solid could a four door car be, that was probably the only thing that makes the Maxima a little sloppy in tight fast cornering, but I know it is not a little car, and with all the weight it is very impressive how hard I could push it into a corner, no other four dour I have run with could stick with me in the curvy areas! It was the most trouble free vehicle that I have ever owned, even considering that I flogged that car whenever I could. The last thing that I would have ever changed on that car would have been to make it a little quiter on the freeway, made a bit of noise, but after the exhaust mods, that was usually all I could hear at speed, and I grew to love that too. I am just saying that I was amazed that a four door car could stir my soul so much. I really only got it since I thought that I was going to marry my girlfriend at the time, and needed a four door for when we had kids. When my SUV got stollen, I was looking for a bad a$$ sports car at first, until I decided that I needed a four door. To my wildest fantasies I never expected that I would have been so happy with my final choice, getting the versatility of the four door, and the sportiness of a sports car. Best of both worlds, and I will tip my hat to anyone I see who ownes one of these fine cars, and I will miss the days that I shared in the glory of that truly fine machine!
Now I wished that the newer Maximas could tow 3500 lbs and have four wheel drive, oh well, how much can I expect them to put into one car, LOL!
