Are there any metal aftermarket intake adapters?

All the ones I've seen are like the one I have, plastic. Mine is cracking and I would like to get something a little more durable. Aluminum preferred. Do you know of any adapter plates like this. I know JWT and I believe the Stillen popcharges are set up a little differently, but at least they don't seem to be plastic. Any thoughts?

The only ones I've seen are on the Ebay's cold air intakes.

Are you sure? It looks like plastic painted silver. It says the piping is aluminum, but that's all.

There are definitely aluminum ones on eBay. The boosted guys pretty much have to have metal ones, as several of them have had the plastic ones crack and cause a charge pipe to blow off. They often get theirs off eBay. The one I bought I'm 99% sure is aluminum. It better be, anyway (I don't have it yet).

Please let me know when you receive it. I don't really want to buy an entire kit, but I will, if I can't find one seperately.

I bought one of the filter/adapter combos...not a whole kit. I emailed the guy yesterday, a week and a half after buying it, and he hadn't even shipped it yet

You dont need tools, if hes talking about the one im thinking of its super ghetto. You take that brass ring off of the inside of the upper airbox and duct tape a filter on it lol!

umm i cant remeber the part number.. i think the package is still in the trunk.. i will go look later.. but its with all the piping for there brands of intake stuff.. i only saw 2.. a 4" one and the 3" one... the 3" one is the one i got, but only 2 holes lined up so either you need to drillthe other 2 holes to fit or do what i did and just bolt down the 2 holes on either side that line up... no leaks and works good
if you want i will get pics too

That would be great, if it's not too much trouble.

Geophrum I would rather get one that is a direct fit, but thanks for the response. I do appreciate it. No picture necessary.

I got one from pepboys. I had to drill new holes cause our maf attachment bolts doesn't line up so. Bought the one from pepboys and used a drill and a drill bit to make new holes. Works like a charm. If you are willing to buy this adapter give me a PM and we'll see if they sell it and maybe I can get you one.

I appreciate the offer, but I'll stick with one that lines up and bolts on without drilling.

Thanks, and by the way nice ride! very clean. I like how you left the rear of the Stillen kit off and left the mudflaps. I like it.
