- P0600,
- P1605,

I hnow how to hadle 1st two of them, but the last two I dont.

Did you unplug the TCM when you did the tranny swap?

It's best to have a ECU that matches the year/transmission you have, as far as codes go.

PO325 is your Knock Sensor
PO141 is your rear oxygen sensor
PO600 is your auto trans.commuincation line
PO1605 A/T Diagnosis Communication Line

Putting in a manual ECU will probably cause more bogus CEL's.

Why would it cause more codes? He is no longer auto so it would get rid of the auto CELs.

And there is a good chance his KS and Rear o2 are dead.

the only way to avoid CEL's when using another ECU is to use one with the exact same PN. The # listed on the large sicker on the face of the ECU.

Your not gonna be able to match that up using a different tranny type ECU, even everything else being the same.

Yeah I got ya. He has a 99 so I doubt he has many options for other 99 ECU's anyways. Unlike the 95-96 which have TONS of different kinds.

Find an ECU with the same build dates and things like that on car-part.com for a 99 manual.

Really, they shouldn't care if it's not emissions related. But I would bet any CEL will cause you problems getting passed. IL is **** about that. That is why with all my modifications I have had to plan to be able to get my car CEL free at least a few days for emissions testing. Thank God I am moving to a state where there is no emissions testing at all.

Get one from a SE.

Also you might have to get your key reprogrammed because of the chipped key.

as far as the KS and O2 code, replace the O2 sensor first then reset the ecu and drive for a while. this is because sometimes the KS code shows up with other emissions codes when it has not failed. its a false reading. but if the code reappears by itself, then go ahead and replace it.

I have the same issue.
Today I replaced my ECM to manual tranny, The codes i am getting are p0600, p1605. Can someone tell me where is the automatic Trannny TCM located?

My car is a 99 GLe.

The TCM is directly below the BCM. Remove the radio and other center console accessories and it has the large blue connector(s) underneath the black box which is the BCM. You also may be able to just remove the shifter trim and unplug the TCM, but I doubt if you could reach it through there.
