magnaflow race series vs. street series

magnaflow race series vs. street series

i am looking into either a magnaflow street or race series oval 5x8 muffler. does anybody know which one is louder??????????? also what is the difference in the two??? im leanin torwards the race series one right now.

I can't tell you for sure which of the two is louder, but I can tell you that neither are horribly loud. Magnaflow focuses more on the true performance of the muffler versus if it sounds cool. The sound it gives off is usually a good tone and is recognizable. Either one you choose will be a good choice.

I have a street series Magnaflow...at first, the sound was kind of raspy. I added some headers on it and it made a huge difference. My set up before the headers was: Stillen y-pipe, custommaxima street pipe, custom 2.25 catback with two resonators--->(copied the greddy sp2 set up). Now the exhaust sounds nice.... I'm still thinking of getting the race series, my personal opinion, I think since the race series is bigger in the inside diameter than the street, it might have a slightly deeper tone, but I could be wrong.
