quick q. about syn oil(read Fluids and Lubricants part)
Ok guys right now i'm running castrol GTX 5w30 dino(first oil change after prev. own.). Before that previous owner always used dino oil and never syn. So my next oil change i wanna switch on Mobil 1 full syn but i'm scared of oil leaks right now i have none car has 160k miles and i don't know what to do now. I wish to treat it only with good stuff can i do that.
Or i have to stick on with dino foreva
I've read about guys who actually switched on syn without problems but their cars was only like 80-100K but i haven't heard anything with high milege

If it leaks with synthetic, go back to dino. No big deal.
As long as you change it every 3k and keep a new filter in there, the syn./dino debate is pretty much irrelevant for a daily driver.

Run AutoRX through first. You need two bottles for two applications. Go to www.auto-rx.com. Join www.bobistheoilguy.com and run a search in the Additives forum. The product will rejuvenate your seals, while cleaning your combustion chamber and ring packs. The outcome will also be a reduced chance of oil leaks.
I just used it before switching to synthetic oil, albeit my car only has 63K, mostly highway miles on it. I started the trial at under 60K.
