i've narrowed the problem to the a/c belt. is it hard to change?? total comes out to be about $52 bucks for the following 2 belts.

AC BELT, Maxima
SERPENTINE BELT, Maxima

Belts.

You can get OEM belts from the dealer, or a discount place like worldpartsexpress.com.

I am guessing that you didn't change your belts yet. Yes, you need 2.

I changed my belts and it made that noise. It was because it was loose. I brought it to the shop and they tightened the tensioner and it was good.

Well the car has 78k and good year belts, so I'm pretty sure it was changed at least once.

I still see teeths, and i suppose if it was in that bad of a condition it'll squeel a lot more. I rather go OEM, I'll pick up some belts and i'll try ask a shop. One time they wanted $50 for it. Not sure if it was per belt or whatever.
