MAP Sensor = Boost Sensor?

I need to replace my MAP sensor. My Haynes book shows it close to the front of the air snorkel. The sensor there says "Boost Sensor" on it. Is this the same as the MAP sensor? Its so easy to get to that it seems to good to be true.

Thanks.

Yes, it's not for that kind of boost. I believe it messures the Ambient air barometric pressure.
