Ooooo Crap Help !
ok so i am at the bank and i go to put my car in reverse... yeah that doesnt work any more apparently but when i put the gas to the floor it only will rev to 2 rpm '? and when i put it in nutral it drive ! what the heck is going on. i am at a complete loss i have no idea whats going on. good thing i got my bike as long as it doesnt rain. but do i need a new tranny ? does any one have a clue. and when i put the car in park it feels like it still wants to go but it doesnt. it doesnt shift from 1-2-d it just goes in the gear and thats the end of the show. it shifts in drive but i duno not having reverse sucks. i had to plow over a little curb to get out of the bank in brand new 18"s and my car was lowered so yeah you bet i scraped my cross member and everything else on the bottom of my car. can any one help please or has any one heard of this . ??

no it doesn't mean you need a new transmission. it just means that the shift linkage is not in the right position, maybe it slipped or bent. I am sure someone on here can help more, but in the meantime I know i have seen a post with similar topic before on here, search with google and see if you can find the thread. "automatic shift linkage problems site:maxima.org" or something along those lines

Sorry folks, but I do not have permission to start my own thread for some reason. So I had to revive an abandoned thread
(I had to know this relatively quick). I wanted to know if a 5th Generation In-dash CD changer will fit in our Maximas. I don't want to simply have a CD player or have to spend 5 minutes in the trunk trying to switch CD's. All in all, I just want to have an in-dash CD changer that doesn't cost $1000 and have a millions lights on it. Any help in the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately I do not have the knowledge you seek. Try visiting the Audio and Electronics Forum. I am not going to flame you, but you may need to start praying the mods do not ban you for a day or two for jacking a thread.
