Door lock sticking
Door lock sticking
So i lock my car up the other day and come back out a few hours later with a friend, he assumes the car is open and pulls on the door handle; it pops open and the alarm goes off. This has happened a few times now.
It seems that when i lock my car, all the doors lock except the front passenger door. The door lock does almost lock, but needs to be pushed from the inside to lock completely. Before i go and rip my door panel off, does anyone have an advice on how to fix this? Preferably without having to buy anything expensive.

mine is having a similar problem i think its cuz my stupid friends puill,on the door aS SOON AS IM HITTING THE UNLOCK AND IT GETS STUCK INBETWEEN. also the door lock actuator could bne on the way out on mine if it wont unlcok i lock all the dooors again then unlock them and it usually resets itself
I had the same problem. My driver side lock would stick half way, and it drained my battery because I didn't see it until the next afternoon. I had to take the door apart, and re-bend the metal rods that operate the door handle, and lock mechanism.
my friends 99 was doing the same thing. Some times it would only go halfway. This was happing during the use of factory keyless entry. The passenger side would only close half way and you wild still be able to open the door. So he decided to get a remote starter/alarm/keyless entry. A viper 791xv, i installed it and everything has been fine even during the cold weather. But in any case a nice lubrication of the locking mechanism couldnt hurt.
