depends.. do you want stock red/orange tails or aftermarket red/clears?

did the person you are buying the tails from cleared the tails himself/herself?

which set are cleaner?

Sy0p, your tails dont match. If your going to take out the lense from the outer lights, you might as well do the same for the inner(trunk) lights so they match IMO

And ik95, I would go with the stock but cleared out lights

What year do you have? 95-96 or 97-99?

Red/Clear is always best.

Do it yourself!! Don't buy them till you try it. If you f it up then spend the money. Have some pride and try doing the mod. Its well worth the work before spending $90, IMO.

:edit: that sounded mean...sorry didnt mean it like that. But I have some pics of my clears on my domian site. Check them out. Pics didn't come out too well tho.

Isn't rather difficult to do this mod on a 95 or 96 though?

you cannot Clear the OEM 95-96 tails... the plastic itself is orange.. what most maxima owners do is purchase the 95-96 all clear tails and then either spray the clears red or stick red vinyl on it..

and yes, the 97-99 lights fit the 95-96 rear.. I did it.. but you will have to change your trunk..
