ECU code

I got a CEL a few days ago and just checked the code and reset the ECU. The code was diagnosed as a Front Right Htd 02 sensor heater. Is that the O2 sensor on the right (rear) bank of the y-pipe? My car is stock, so far. The cat back exhaust needs to replaced, and I'm planning on doing a Budget y-pipe as well, along with all 3 O2 sensors in the exhaust system.
What is a O2 sensor heater? Thanks, fellas.

Right is firewall side. If they haven't been replaced previously, you might as well do the left/front side as well. It'll just tag you later. Oops, didn't read your whole post, I have three coming in the mail as well. Why they need to be heated is beyond me.

I see, thanks for the insight, Max880... Where do you purchase your sensors from? These sunzabichz are expensive! A friend is telling me to only stick with oem sensors, says will likely have less problems with them as opposed to aftermarket.

I order from nissanpartscheap.com. Parts are genuine Nissan. It looks to be a dealership in Calif that sells discount on the internet. There maybe cheaper genuine parts available.....If there is I'm sure somebody will likely post a reply. Anyway I think they are $103 each + 10% S/H. I have bought parts from a local dealer that will nearly match internet prices. They didn't advertise, I just called a bunch of parts depts and asked if they could get close to $XX for XXPart. One did.

cool.thanks for the link, bro. I haven't heard of that site before. I would assume its better to go with oem when it comes to sensors, dont really want to take the cheap way out and go aftermarket. The potential headaches arent worth saving a few bucks up front.
How was the service with nissanpartscheap.com? They're prices are a lil less expensive than courtesy nissan.

Yea, I feel better with factory spec parts too. Especially electronics.... That way your fairly sure that it's at least as high of quality as what the car came with and all the connectors and attachments will match exactly. No surprises or having to make do with something that's not quite right. I've ordered from them about four times with no complaints....except....sometimes it takes them a few days to get your part off to Federal Express.

i have a greddy sp2. greddy is quality product for good price. in the stickies there is a section with exhaust set ups and sound clips.
alot of people have greddy, and those with big pockets have cattman.
i'll try to get you a link real quick.

dang im quick.
as far as fitment, greddy's b pipe hangs low. but i knew this before i bought it, there are ways to mess with it. the 97 + years' seem to fit better. its on the 95/95's that its hangin

oh yeah, the setup would be budget ss y pipe/ and greddy sp2 catback. (forgot to mention the y pipe)

Yeah, thanks, bro..I've read all of the stickies and other sites that deal with exhaust. I do read as much as I can, the Org is a great resource of info. I'm just looking for a good setup that will be quiet and perform well. Cool sound is not importatn to me. Since I have to replace my exhaust oxygen sensors along with the rotting exhaust, its a decision I need to make soon. I'm thinking of a Budget ypipe and Budget b-pipe (SS of course), and they offer an aluminized steel OE replacement muffler, for $160 CDN. Seems cost effective to me...any thoughts?

Oh I hadn't even heard of anyone buying those budget pieces. I can't imagine how itd be bad they seem decent, but don't take my work for it.

I need to investigate my budget y pipe actually, it looks like its splitting at the seam. But maybe its my fault for bottoming out or something.

.....thats not good.. I fear replacing my oem y-pipe and then having problems such as that..or fitment issues. Its an opportune time to replace it anyways, since my O2 sensors need to be replaced. How long have you had it, Chillin?

Sorry I was playing halo lol.
I've had it for... I donno, quite awhile. I could be wrong about it being like that, I just keep bottoming out and I lifted it up and notice the little tiny hairline slit. I'm gonna check it out more. I don't think its a big deal.
Budget is good. For the price and what not.
I don't think there will be fitment issues. Sometimes you gotta go the extra step with some things to make sure its all good, like some guys do with their little custom jobs. But the y pipe was just a bolt on, although you can't put back on the hangar that was on the stock one, cause it won't fit.
I usually go with the middle of the road products, not too expensive and good, dependable quality.

Chillin..is your Max lowered, or do you just drive on really bumpy roads? What prevents the hanger fit on the junction of the cat/y-pipe?

I'm lowered and its rare that I bottom out.
The hangar just doesn't fit around the y pipe in a position where it bolts up back in the same spot.
