Shift **** Removal!

How do you do it? I've searched google for a while now and there's nowhere that says how to do it right! Some cases it says to just wrap the **** in a towel, and then use a wrench to twist off, but then they say you can't use it again. I want to change my shift boot and ****, but can't find any instructions on how to do it properly without any damage. Thanks for any help.

P.S. Know any stores that sell MOMO shift *****, something similiar to Autozone? I know Autozone is ricer-ific on their ***** and everything else, all with LED's and dragons and etc.

I just used my hand and twisted really hard. But I think mine had been loosened/changed by one of the POs. The only damage that will come to anything by using the towel/pliar method is that you may damage the leather on the shift ****. Don't grip it too hard and you should be fine.

If you still want to reuse a stock shift **** but tear yours, I still have my stock one, the shift pattern's a little worn but I'll let it go for pretty cheap.

You should be able to do it without damaging yours though.

I removed mine for the first time to replace it. It took all I had with my channel-lock pliers to break it loose. Damn loc-tite. If it doesn't turn by hand, expect to shred the leather in the process of twisting it off.

When I helped my friend remove his manual shifter, I just used my bare hands.

I take offense to the Autozone comment. I got my shift **** from A.Z.:

Your shift **** looks good, espcially with the leather boot. My autozone has lots of ricer *****, and yours must not, because my a.z. has nothing compared to the **** that you have. They're all plastic carbon fiber and skulls and s**t. No offense to the a.z. comment, basing opinion on past experiences

I was just messing with you, I wasn't truly offended.

Yes, my A.Z. is full of cheesey neon *****, skull *****, etc. too! I was, however, 10% intrigued by the **** with a built-in compass on top though... lol.
