ECU Codes 1003 and 1101?

The stickies dont seem to really help much regarding these two codes which are 1003 "PARK/Neutral Position Switch" and "Inhibitor Switch". This is a 95 auto.

Also I got a KS code which I suppose I should fix.

Thanks for the help!

1003 - park/neutral position switch

1101 - A/T inhibitor switch (detects selector lever position and sends a signal to the A/T control unit)

1003 is triggered when, "The signal of the park/neutral position switch is not changed in the process of engine starting and driving."

1101 is triggered when, "The A/T control unit does not receive the correct voltage signal from the switch based on the gear position."

Sounds like the same thing is causing both codes. The diagnostic process is the same for the two codes.

It seems like you should get one code or the other, 1003 for a manual transmission or 1101 for A/T.

the first one means that the safty switch isnt working, you can probably start your car in any gear instead of just park and neutral
