do ground wires really help???

I bought those ground wires that hook up to your negative on the battery and you bolt them to the fender, firewall, block ,throttle body and other places and its susposed to increase spark and give better electrical current and reduce static in radio and better gas mileage bla bla bla and acceleration......really just look like a spider with long *** legs and speaker wire gone mad! does it really work ?????thanks

I had some electrical grounding issues and what I did was remove the stock grounds, sanded each point down, and used new hardware in place of the old rusted crap. This helped the stereo to be quieter cause it got rid of the alternator whine I was getting. However the noises came back after 6 months or so. That time I around I got one of Matt93SE's grounding kits for free, so I installed it and didn't have any noise issues after that.

Yes, they do help. Stock grounds get old and bad.

the whole grounding kit is what i would like to call OVERKILL. All that is really necessary is this. First you upgrade your engine ground wire by replacing it with a new 4 gauge wire you can buy from any local stereo store, then you should get a ground on your fender Preferably 0 gauge. That will be more then plenty of grounding. But yes good grounding is the key to an electric system. Wont give you any hp though if thats what your lookin for

Sure you need a helluva grounding system for such a kick-@$$ stereo, but for a stock stereo, upgrading the ground wires is kinda overkill.

Pretty sure very few people here care about audio, let alone to that extent, and those that do probably don't worry about such things. Why don't you STFU You're not really proving anything to me. You're 2 years older than me, please act like it.
