KYB OEM Strut Mount+Bearing??

I got my strut mounting kit which includes the bearing.. If anyone has seen these.. Why is the bearing they include made out of plastic?? Its just two peices of plastic put together forming a "ring" one peice is inside the other and it turns like a bearing should, but if my old REAL bearings are still functional, should i just regrease them and use them instead of this shady looking one?? I dont think the old bearing will work with the new KYB mount though.. Anyone have experience with what im talking about?

The OEM strut mount bearings are plastic (or poly something). What "REAL" bearings are you talking about? Could you explain or post a picture?

Well in my Haynes manual on page 10-6, the bearing that is shown in the strut mount looks something like this:

More like a ball bearing.

As opposed to this:

Which is what was sent to me with the strut mount.

This is the mount that the bearing came with:

?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????

I've never seen a bearing in the OEM struts like that either. Part#4 on this diagram is the OEM bearing that aussie983 posted about.

Don't worry, you have the correct part. That steel bearing is not from your car. You are good to go.
