Engine tuning program

My friend just gave me a program that tunes ECU through laptops.
I was wondering if anyone tried any type of these softwares and how to do it... i'm a noob in this category...its from Performance electronics..nothin fancy at all...simple looking program

Nope, you need a "piggyback" if you want to tune on your own.
