4th Starter??? keeps dying

Ok this post is for a friend of mine, She has a 96 and has blown through 4 starters in the past few years. The first one went after having the car about a year, the second after 3 months, the third after another year, now she is on her 4th starter????
I have a 5th gen, and never heard of anything like this, so I did a couple searches through the 4th gen posts, and could find nothing that related to this, so I am guessing this is not a common problem... Anyone have any issues like this? or have any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks in advance...

Stop purchasing aftermarket junk and get an OEM starter from Nissan.

There is an extremely long post here in the 4th gen forum about starter problems with tons of great information. The problem may possibly be related to grounding of the electrical system and the starter itself or possibly an issue of lubrication of the starter. Find the post and read the whole thing. It's lengthy but it has the information you seek.

Here is the post, but I'm not sure your problem is grounding. If your starter pauses in mid crank, then yes you could have a grounding issue.
