What is this weird smell from my car?

Everytime when I drive my max, and when i go WOT, after that I would have this funky smell coming from my car. Can anyone tell me what that smell is and where is it coming from?

I had a smell comming from my car. It smelled like a cross between electrical and plastic burning.
It turned out to be a plastic bag from the highway melted to my cat.

You got to be more specific, what does it smell like? It could be a fuel smell or rotten egg smell. More details pleez....

Could be a number of things leaking oil, trans fliud, coolant, that is burning up. Or could be a clogged cat....the list goes on...WOT could just be an old engine burning oil, is there any smoke out the exhaust?

nope no smoke from exhaust, it wouldn't smell like a rotten egg, smells more like fuel burning.

Alright. I just noticed it was a GLE and decided to both make an internet related joke and eliminate one of the possibilities at the same time.

It's prob'ly the passenger needing a change of trousers... going WOT across the intersection... funky, yeah that pretty much describes it...

I had the same problem on my 99 SE. It was a rotten egg smell. I installed a hi-flow cat and the problem went away, but I also live in Virginia where there are no emissions test.
