thoses with carbonfiber trunklid

did you remove the tension bars after you installed, also do you have a back up incase your latch fails or you can't get it to pop open.

thanks

I didnt remove my torsion bars. The trunk is sooo ligh that when you pop it with them still attached it will fly open. When i added the spoiler it gave it enought weight to where it opens just enough for me to put my hand under it an d lift it.
I had considered doing a pop trunk with my alarm, but got worried about getting into it if the car was dead. Im still using the cable pull latch. No backup.

i removed it. i have the carbon fiber spoiler on there also. when i have the torsion bars on it, the window side of the trunk sat kinda off when it was closed so i took it off to even it out.

How do you remove them? is there an easy way? Also do either of you know how I could put a manual release on the trunk lid and access it through the back seat? kind of like that autoloc emergency release for shaved handle kits? thanks
