Ground control different part numbers for different struts?

For the people who have experience with it I need to know how to tell what Ground Control coilovers are made for what struts. I am getting ready to trade a guy for a set I want to make sure they will fit my current struts. Please let me know how you tell what GC's will fit which struts. Thanks.

Best bet would be to contact ground control directly, I couldn't find any info on how to tell on the web. My guess is the spring load is different depending on the strut it requires. Unless it's printed somewhere on the spring...

tokico have a large gland nut on the top of the strut and cant be gound down like agx. i assume the threaded collars are a slightly larger diameter for the tokicos and should fit the agx. stock struts are tokico also.

is this what they told you? I just emailed the guy at ground control and he told me the only way to tell is by looking at the invoice and on the box they came in.

Is this a load of crap or is it the truth?

stock struts/kyb gr-2's/tokico hp are pretty much all on the same level and use the same gc coilovers......i'm not too sure if the tokico illuminas and kyb agx will use the same coilovers from gc

Yes, I have Illuminas with the ones for the stock/tokico hp struts and they fit and work just fine.

Hey man. I looked at your homepage, and I will probably drop my car about an inch lower than yours is sitting. How is your ride with that drop, is it harsh? Also how is your alignment with the camber bolts? I assume you cut your bump stops down some...do you hit them often?

Hey sorry I didnt reply soon....

The car was comfortable to me lowered where I had it, for about a month I also had it lowered all the way which is about 3" but it did bottom out a lot that way. The camber bolts helped a little, but I never got an alignment done, but I would recomend one right away. Cutting the bump stops helped, but I'm going to get the long travel rear shock mounts. The fronts never bottomed out when it was dropped, but the rears did pretty easily. If you have any other questions let me know.
