help with trunk lid

help with trunk lid

i had a trunk lid with no spoiler. Now i put on the spoiler and it doesent want to open by it self. Does anyone if i can adjust the lid to pop open?

bump for a good question

I'd suggest wrapping something around the tension bars that lift the trunk lid, to help give them better spring power, either that or modify the mounting points in someway that would give it more power.

go find the torsion bars from a maxima that had a spoiler on it origianlly and put those in instead of the ones you have.

ha! i have the exact opposite problem. i had a spoiler, but a russian guy snapped it of when pushing me out of the snow. now it wont pop all the way open by itself. granted, i do have great stuff and dynamat all in/over my trunk to stop my system from rattling it....but thats besides the point lol

thanks nookiemax that works just use to pieces of tape on each side and it pops open
