Stupid bulb question

I have clear bumper lights on my 96 and since day 1 of having them, I have never been able to match up the side marker and corner lights. I tried PIAA bulbs and they were both supposed to be the same color just different a bulb size. Well the side marker ended up being a bright white, and the corner light is a light blue. It looks pretty stupid having 2 different color bulbs. I know half of you will tell me to go amber but I personally don't like amber. Anyone know of or have any bulbs that match?

i heard you can match LED lights up, I never liked amber lights myself but after getting HID's and seeing 5 different color lights on my front i decided to go back to amber and it doesn't look that bad... i think i might even like it

I've personally never seen someone with white bulbs matching corners and side markers. I went with amber for that reason. I really liked the white and wanted to stay with it (i did keep all my bulbs tho). I guess this doesnt really help you but I thought I would tell you that I never saw a max yet with matching corners and sides. Not sure why. If someone has seen one please post a pic.

I guarantee you will never find a match. I didn't like the idea of amber either, but it looks a lot better once you get used to it.

yeah i agree with 99. as I said before, I was really against the amber cause removing the orange side markers then putting amber bulbs seemed odd to me. But now I really like the look of the light with the headlights and fogs, esp when its all the lights except for the headlights on.

Yeah, that, too. White/blue light is very played out and kind of dumb in the first place.

well if u still lo0kin 4 an answer, tha best set up I found was the polarg bulbs for the side markers and cornerlights from ce, u MUST do the "rewired" trick for them 2 match tho or ur cornerlights will have that faint green look and look stupid, I have the cystal clear bumper lights and corner lights so that helps ALOT, they match perfectly 2 me if not perfect then damn near close enough

Thanks. I already did the re-wire trick so that's not a problem. Like I said. I personally do not like ambers. They may look classy but I bet you'll see a lot more cars with amber than clear. Actually I once in a blue moon see other people with clears especially on a Max. I guess I just like to stand out.

Everyone wants their car to stand out. It's a huge part of modding it. But the truth is that you see more cars with orange because the plastic pieces in the lights. I havnt seen a car that has the same color corners and bumbers as me. Amber and orange look different to me at least. But also having all white (lights, blinkers, etc.) is illegal I believe. Thats another reason I went back to amber.

But yeah if you like the white then you gotta buy the bulbs. It'll be tough to get a close match but Im sure you'll find one that fits you're liking.

I think it's illegal to have the side markers clear. I got pulled over once but it was because the cop thought my turn signals were clear but I kept those amber. I showed him they were amber then he pointed out the clear side markers were illegal but he didn't give me a ticket for them. Other than that I never got bothered for them after about 2 years of having them. The cops in my area are really strict. I've been pulled over about 10 times in the past 2 years and thats the only time a cop mentioned anything about the side markers being clear. But it was all BS. I only got a ticket 1 out of those 10 times and I got that one ticket dropped.

Don't have that problem over here. Cops just ignore people fitting what they feel like. F'rinstance, green. Blue. Violet. Maybe I will go with neon

Sylvania did, atleast in the size we use for turn signals and clearance lights. My clearance lights are clear, but light up amber. I didn't buy them for that reason, though, I bought them because they are the only TRUE amber bulbs I could find...everything else was more of a yellow once it was lit up, even though the glass was orange.
