not worth it, trust me. The car needs to be rewired for the radio, speakers and amps. If you like the look of the h/u, get it and install aftermarket speakers with an 4 chnl amp. It should do the trick. I have my bose h/u with no amp on infinity's and not loud at all(no sound for the first 1/4 of the volume button). Or just get an aftermarket h/u or even better a 6/5" touch screen

If your car is not bose equipped, it is not going to work.

I've got Bose and wanted to replace things and all I've heard is to go aftermarket. I was hoping to save money so I could go aftermarket 7" touch screen with everything. That way it keeps a stock look and there's no extra holes in the dash.

Just cant find one for cheaper then $1g.

But I'm sure Nissan or the yard will have oem fitment hu's.

I have a non bose 99 cd tape player, I thought it was Bose they look the same. It is for non bose systems and is the best factory cd/tape that they made for 4th gens. It looks just like the 99 Bose, just the #s are different and it doesn't say bose on the tape part. If you want it pm me, I paid $65 for it.

Why don't you get a microvision screen with either a cd/dvd changer or use the pocket below the radio for a single din cd/dvd player. There are deals on fleabay for about $250 for the screen and kenwood cd/dvd.

The Bose HU requires Bose speakers, because it sends a very low signal level to the amps in each individual speaker. You could use a line level converter instead, though (e.g., Scosche). In either case an aftermarket HU and speakers sound miles better than Bose. I replaced my Bose system and am very very happy with the results. I got a plastic pocket deal from a junkyard for $5 to fill the 2nd DIN slot.

If you want the stock look (for security I assume) you could be crafty and get a Bose HU faceplate and put it over your aftermarket HU when you leave your car. Personally, my HU is boring looking anyway, so it doesn't attract much attention.

Nope more like 1 ohm... there for if you hook up the 4 ohm speakers you will get almost non output..... get a pac adapter if you want ot keep the bose speakers if you want for it to sound good gut the car and start over.. i did that and its best thing you could do...
