I have a 99 SE 5spd. Where is the best place to buy a motor and transmission? What kind of price range would that be in?

 

maxima.org - check the 4th gen classifieds if you want another 3.0L and 5 spd tranny theres always tons of guys parting out cars for whatever reason, and decent motors and trannies go for a couple hundred bucks a peice sometimes.

I don't know about prices on motors, but if it's simply a used transmission do NOT pay much for it. Most of them need rebuilt. At least reach in and see if you can get the differential to wobble around inside - if it wobbles at all, plan $500 for rebuilding it first.
