It really all depends on u... if ur a crappy driver, well then its gonna take a while, but if ur a good one, then not too long, say like a couple of days to a week, thats how long it too me, like a couple of days to get use to it... but then I can say that u can never TRUELY, get use to a MT, cause u'll always get lazy and grind the gears

yeah a couple days to week depending on how quickly YOU learn. try not to slip the clutch excessively, instead basically drop it when the revs are where they should be in that gear, if you do it right, your passengers will think your driving an automatic. and hondas are known for their buttery smooth trannys, this and my last max had a pretty notchy one, which you will also get used to in about the same time

first of all comparing a Nissan to a Honda, is like comparing apples and bananas.
My Max was originally my moms, and like you, when she drove 1st, 2nd, and 3rd were all jerky when starting out. It turns out, it's just the driver. I took ownership of her max because she recently got an '06, and after a couple weeks of me driving it, it doesnt jerk around at all. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the way you drive, and the way the clutch wears due to it.

The stock clutch should not be "stiff" on your Nissan. Perhaps it's at the end of it's life.
The tranny shouldn't be that notchy either, change the tranny fluid.
