When I bought my Maxima, the fof light bulbs were burned out. I replaced them when Xenon Fog Lights, they burned out in about 2 weeks. I don't see any signs of water leakage or anything like that...anyone have any ideas what the deal is? I'm not going to buy more if they only last a few weeks.

The higher wattage Superwhite and Xenon bulbs burn out very quickly because they over heat. I went through 2 pairs. Now I've decided to replace my whole foglamp with an assembly.

I can't explain this. I went from 55w to 100w and cracked my housings. Then I got Xenon 55w and they used to blow from month to month, now I'm back to stock and they are fine.

Aftermarket hyperwhite fog bulbs suck. You'll be lucky if they last 6 months. I've had my stock bulbs since 95. I put in some aftermarket (Hyper Industries) about 6 months ago. They burned out in about 2 months. Since then I've the stock ones back in. They're still working after 6 years. It doesn't matter if you have low or high wattage. They'll burn out just as quick. Many have posted that the higher priced PIAA's aren't any better either.
