Max Horn

Max Horn
The Max Horn i have was always pathetic, all will agree. I need to get a new one, not one that sounds like your neighbors cat getting run over.
Is there a good, loud, deep sounding horn that is a direct bolt up that also uses the stock wiring.
Basically I would like a nice good horn thats got power and can be swapped out without issue at all.
Anyone have any ideas on what horns and where I can get one?
Thanks

Hella makes a 118db kit called the Supertone, it's a dual tone 400Hz and 500Hz IIRC. There was a group deal for 'em at ~$60 awhile ago, and I think someone's trying to resurrect it/start another one ATM. Yes it uses stock wiring but you will have to mount another driver under your hood.
Does anyone have any sound clips of this horn? I always wanted to hear one.

The horn on my 4th gen isn't too bad. The horn on my dad's 5th gen is awful. I have been meaning to stop into a junkyard and salvage a nice one out of a caddy or lincoln, they always had those nice deep five-tone horns.
IMO, American cars always have the best sounding horns. They should all run on 12VDC, right?
