Seat Swap
Seat Swap
I have right now cloth interior in my SE, power driver seat and manual passenger. I might be buying leather seats from someone and both of the leathers are power in the front. Is it possible to make the passenger power seat work? Also, if anyone has done this swap, what did you do with the door panels? Since they have that leather part in the door, do you just swap that part or the whole panel? I will most likely wait for a while and do full swap with my 95, but the door panels are different since the tweeters are in the doors in the 97, unlike the 95, is it possible to swap from 95->97 door panels with functional tweeters?
Yes you can. Mine already had the plug and was prewired for the passenger seat. If yours isnt, you can splice onto the wires for the driver seat and get your power from there. As for the door panels, you can either put in a tweeter and make it functional or leave it out. The leather inserts require a little moddification to fit onto your existing panels. The leather inserts are held on by metal tabs that slide through notches in the panel and are then folded over to secure them. However the panels with cloth do not have these notches under the cloth so you would have to make them.
