Brake shaking

I just bought my 96 GXE, and it was sitting in a driveway for about 6 months. When I use the brakes, they shake like a mother****er, and it's really annoying. Also, my alignment seems to be off when I go ~80 MPH, are these two things related? Is there something I can do about the brakes (I'm gonna get the tires realigned in a few days)?

Someone said that I should just replace the pads and hope for the best, any thoughts?

my car did the same thing. i did alot of highway driving and one day they lockedd up and then just failed. turned out my pads were worn pretty bad and there were heat spots on my rotors, which is really dangerous. definitely do new pads, but see if you can have your rotors cut. i put HAWK carbon brake pads on the fronts, and did slotted rotors. that solved my problem completely.

IMO i would spend the extra $ and get slotted rotors for the front. they're incredible for highway driving.

New Rotors, New Pads, Balance Wheels, Front Alignment. I would start there if the vibrating persists could be a suspension related issue.

My driver side rotor is warped too, shakes like a b!tch when going fast. I wonder if I change it, will the pad need to be changed too?

You need to redo your front breaks and have the front rotors turned. It sounds like you front rotors are warped. That is what is making it shake like that.
