DIY Midpipe?

A while ago, I saw a write-up in the stickies about making a "custom" midpipe. It seems not to be there anymore, anyone know where it is? I also seen something like that on Caesar'sChariot's cardomain, but I think he took it off. So if anyone can either link me to the site or teach me how to make one, thanks.

Oh yeah one more thing: is the CAI midpipe (PR style) shorter than the Frankencar style midpipe?

Found the site, but it says that the domain is for sale. Any one remember how to make one?

you take a 3" exhaust pipe, autozone has it, cut it to the length you need. Drill holes for fittings that you will connect the hoses to, screw in fittings, use some glue or something to makes sure there are no leaks. You're done.

I was thinking of a way to do it with plumbing pipes b/c it wouldn't heat soak as much as metal, right?
