headlights

does anybody know of a good quality 9004 or 9007 headlight bulb that has a brite white light (HID looking)? i currently have EuroDesignz 8500K 9004 bulbs, and im thinkin about doing a 9007 conversion (possibly projector retrofit or Cefiro H4), but i want to know what bulbs are nice looking. i like the blue headlight look A LOT. gimme some ideas guys.

PIAA's are good but expensive, I have some EuroLites in mine, they are pure bright white, but when your driving, you don't see ish.

I also have eurolites along with the 9007 conversion. They have a slight blue tint to them. They are definately better than stock. I can see better than before when it's dry out. When it's raining, they don't light up the road for s***. I may have to upgrade them again to something else cause I can't see anything when it's raining out.

Tried a bunch of different bulbs. Nothing can stack up against PIAA. Pricey but you'll save money in the long run.

You can't go wrong with Sylvania Xtravision 9007! Yes its yellow because they're halogens. If you want something that's white, go with the Silverstar 9007. I have had them both. Although Sylvania will say that the Silverstar is brighter, I disagree. Xtravision is brighter but it doesn't put out that cool white light! The whiter you go with halogens, the less visibility you will get because in order for halogens to put out white light the glass would have to be tinted blue. Xtravision don't have the blue-coating, thus it puts out a yellow beam, and IMO puts out a brighter beam and illuminates better. On the other hand, the blue coating on the Silverstar bulb is very minimal compared to the many blue-coated bulbs I've seen. Thus it can afford to give you that white light look and at the same time give you somewhat of a good visibility at night.

BTW, I've also had the Nokya StageII 9007, Arctic White bulbs. They put out whiter light (the blue-coating is darker) but the visibility is poor compared to the Silverstar. The Silverstar is less whiter compared to the Nokya.

I have the 9004 Silverstars, but as all the discussions say, the yellow halogen light may not look the best but it gives the best visibility in the rain. I had the blue-tinted bulbs for about a week before throwing them out because you can't see for **** in the rain/snow. The Silverstars are a perfect white, no blue or yellow tint at all, and fall just short of yellow halogen visibility in the rain. IMO it's an acceptable trade-off for the sexy look the Silverstars have. Eventually I want to get the PIAA's which, like Trajiksmax said, would be the best.

does your defroster still work after stripping the tint? it wouldnt be that big of a deal if it got ruined, but id like it to work living in SLC.
