Man, you guys have some sweet looking engine bays. I especially like (of course) the turboed ones. Some day, maybe.

Very nice Dubya, but you do know the best shots show the 4thgen headlights/grill with the motor, lol. Great job though. Was it worth it you think? (I'm anti 3.5 swap and pro boost).

Thanks for the compliments guys.

TJ - I definately think the swap was worth it. I had over 200k miles on my original motor and bought this one with 7k miles on it. I have a new more powerful motor. The plan is to boost eventually. I just have an order of operations. ECU Swap, SMT6, Cams & Headers, then boost.

Nice, that is the way to go. I'm going backwards. Eventually I'll pull this motor and buy a newer 3.5 motor and do the rods and cams as well while it sits in my garage. Then slap on the SC . Question: Do you keep the timing equpiment from that same old 200k mile motor with the new motor?

sorry but why does this guys intake manifold look different from everyone elses?

ALSO is there still a guy here named STEVTECV6 or something like that? he had a black maxima a while ago and used to be a mod i think and lived somewhere on the east coast. and how about a guy named KEVIN? I think he used to be a mod here too and had a turbo set up and i think was in nor cal. This all from a few years ago.

Here we go again........

You need to read up on the mod faq. There are two types of intake man that can be retrofitted for our maximas, MEVI and 00VI. Go read up on them at the forum stickies.
