Engine Problems, Help Please

Or it's probably a tranny problem, i'm not sure. In every gear my max (5 spd) hesitates at 3900 rpm. Any clues what this is or is the tranny just going out?

Also at start up, there's a really loud squeal that lasts for about 4 seconds. thanks for all help.

Checking belts is a good idea for the noise.

Does the car have any codes?

Your 5 speed tranny will not cause a hesitation.

You have an engine performance issue. As blackmax said, check for any stored codes.

What sort of hesitation do you feel at "3900" RPM's?

Perhaps you have two problems. You can have a bad coil (hesitating) and the other is you have a loose belt.
