why did you waist your time posting then. Everyone knows there's woodgrain for auto's.

You will find woodgrain for 5-speed in aftermarket only.

Mine came with a woodgrain finish. I once called the dealer for a replacement panel, but their price was astronomical - something like $150 for a single panel. So I replaced it all with Joshua Tree trim set. Unfortunately within a year or two that also started to delaminate.

I guess my point is that you can get it both from Nissan and aftermarket, but both will eventually peel apart up at the center AC vents. I suspect that's because of the thermal stresses created when you run icy cold air through a very hot interior, and the wood trim panel just peels. So you might want to leave off the panel around and immediately below the center AC vents if you don't like the idea of it peeling.

I wish I knew why mine faded.

BTW, the Joshua Tree kit is real wood.

I've been trying to find the original 5spd **** for a while. E-bay didn't have it. I didn't want to pay the high price at the dealer.

Actually, my boyfriend has the 99 SE-L and it came with a stock woodgrain manual shifter... so they do exist, its just a question of where to find one. He needs a new one as well, so I've been on the lookout too.

I got a boot from a Ford Taurus SHO from the junkyard, it's great quality leather, and it was free. A little cutting, and a bit of glue, and it looks factory. Free mods = the ****

and don't worry about the trim.

Yes they do because thats what I used in my maxima when I did the 5 speed swap. Bought it off the org from Zack for $65 shipped and it was worth every penny.

that's funny i was just trying to think who i sold it to. That trip came from my 5speed I30t. They do make a OEM woodgrain 5speed shifter trim for the I30's Its about $140 from the dealer. Ask I30ds for the part # he bought a new one when he did the conversion on his I30

I have a B&M STS and I'm using the auto woodgrain trim. I just stole a boot off a friends civic parts car and hot glued it to trim on the bottom. It almost looks like its stock and doesn't hit at all.
