Popping noise while driving when turning steering wheel back and forth?

I recently noticed some popping noise coming from the front of the car, it happens when I hit road imperfections at slower speeds. Also, if I'm driving straight, and turn the steering wheel side to side there is a popping noise coming from the front end.

Any suggestions on what this might be?

THANKS!

It sounds like your strut bearings. How many miles on your car and struts? Are they the factory struts?

Hmmm... where to start. Well, it could be (inhales deeply) strut bearings, CV joints, a whole host of bushings, steering rack, tie-rod related... but I digress.

I would guess, since you say it happens when you are moving--which implies not at a standstill--that it's CV joints.

How many miles on the car? Like Maximaman10 says, it could also be strut bearings.

My strut bearings fell out of my strut mounts, and I had that bad turning problem. I don't think it's that disastrous to let the clicking go untreated, it's just a pain to drive and steer.

well, i doubt it would be a tie rod, cause if it was, there probably would be no input going to the wheels when he turns, (or at least a delay before the wheel starts turning)
