Hot air

Is this a typical thing wiht 4th gens. Ill randomly just have warm - hot air comming out of my floor vents. I really havent done anything to investigate this but id figure id ask if anyone else has experienced this. This happens when the climate controll was off so is it just heat from the engine? Is like a door in the ducting open or somethin?

The vents for your AC are still open really. So its air flowing through the AC. Just because it's off doesnt mean that everything is closed. So it's really just engine heat I believe. My max does it. My old max did too. Pretty sure most cars do.

yah pretty much every car does it. its just the heat from the motor coming through the vents. in fact in my 83 porsche i had that was my only way of gettin warm during winter. that really sucked.

Turn your climate to around 68-72 then turn it back off.

Otherwise you can press the re-circulate button.

Fr33way that's worked for you? When I turn the temp down or do the recirculate it still ends up on my feet.

If you do what I said, the air at your feet is now just ambient temp.

If you do the recirculate this should stop it.
