debadging

It's been a week since i debaged my rear end. I used a heat gun and citrius goo gone and it worked alright. after the debadging, i washed and waxed my car. problem is that my friend was driving behind me at night and he said that he could still see the white outline of the nissan emblem and maxima. is there anything else i need to do to remove this white lining?

you could also try buffing it out. I polished the trunk about 3 or 4 times with turtle wax polishing compound after I debadged mine. Then I waxed it twice. It's almost completely gone. Just takes some time and elbow grease.

Yeh I have the same problem with where the Nissan logo was...but what do you expect its a 10yr old car...the sun has been hitting the other part of the trunk for that long. I wanna try a clay bar. Ive waxed and buffed it so many times and it still shows.

I had the same thing. After some washing, waxing, elbow grease, and some time, it'll go away. At least mine did.

i used a rubbing compound. Then I got a pastel eraser (called Magic Rub) and went over it a couple times to see if it made a difference. It did and after that I washed, clayed, polished, and waxed.

Had the MAXIMA outline left on mine, just used medium duty rubbing compound & a little wax. Left no outline or any trace it was even there!
Also my car is BLACK.

just use a heat gun or hair dryer and peel off slowly! Careful don't heat up to much, you should have no adhesive left on. Use rubbing compound & wax, your done.
