soooooo loud!!!!

So, I had a little crack in my exhaust and today I was at a light and heard the loudest car ever.Turns out it wasn't the piece of **** next to me...it was my car.my exhaust split about an inch after the resonator from when my hangers rusted out about a month ago and the exhaust hitting the crossmember.I just got it welded to about a week ago and cost me $75 what a f*cking waste.this suxxxxxx.

on that note does anyone have a stock catback for sale????

You want loud, try driving around open manifolds. Louder than ****. I drove around like that for a few days after swapping out my trans in my driveway, and got so sick of being under the car that I didn't give a damn about the exhaust for a while. I've since put the y-pipe back on (just yesterday, actually), but I broke the studs coming out of the cat that go into the resonator flange, so my exhaust system is comprised of a ypipe and a cat right now, that's it. Not quite as loud as open manifolds, but...

But oh my god is it loud with no exhaust system at all...get up to redline and it sounds like a top fuel dragster or something.

Okay - not all Hondas sound like a fart in a can, but a lot do.

Nissans have their exhaust problems too though...

Unfortunately here in NZ there is a plague of Skylines, Silvias and boosted Laurels (all with RB and SR series motors) and like one guy on the NZ version of this website said: "It's like a WWII flying formation...DRONE"

well, as long as we're here, anyone know how to seal a very small exhaust leak? I used my exhaust as a brace for a pair of vice grips once and put a tiny leak in the rear seal on the cat. It makes a whining noise at idle - kinda cool, actually, makes the car sound like a spaceship - but after I shut it down it makes "bhoop, bhoop, bhoop" noises which are weird and make the car sound sad. Is there some kind of high-temp sealant I could use to seal it?

Rear seal? As in the gasket? Hmm, that would be obvious what to do in that case Replace the gasket. If not weld it shut or have an exhaust shop do it for like 10$, as it doesn't sound so severe.

Yo man, jsu get some high temp RTV. Shd work nicely or like Nmexmax sd, jus find someone to weld it up for u. Hit up Autozone, they have a bunch of low budget solutions for exhaust leak.
